SPARK >> A Destination Unknown Christmas Tree

YAAAAAAAAY for Christmas Decor.

Have you seen the Margie Romney-Aslett SPARK classes? They are CHOCK full of goodness and I'm so glad my friend Michelle introduced me. I joined for the Christmas 2014 Spark goodness and was definitely SPARKED into create mode. One of Margie's beautiful projects was a sort of ticket / sparkly tree. As much as I enjoy metallics my home decor for Christmas is a little more WINTERY based with blues, silvers and whites on top of black. So I took my SPARK from Margie and created this:

I did enjoy the looks of Margie's trees with tickets, but I didn't like the little spurts of color that came on all of the tickets I found. Red was really not in my scheme, and every ticket I found had a red line on it. No worries! I just made my own!!

My tickets were made by stamping an Admit One Ticket stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps! that I designed a ways back. I stamped it on my new Destination Unknown collection for 7 Dots Studio, the turquoise sheets from the 6x6 pack. I stamped over and over in archival black by ranger, then fussy cut out each ticket.

I just learned about these JUNK BOWS from Margie and Michelle, too>> Um YUM! I finished off my tree with a bow of old atlas papers, three different May Arts Ribbons and some tiny jingle bells.

The rest of my scene is made from some Tim Holtz Wonderland trees, mini ornaments, a mercury glass... well glass (votive holder) and some little train trees that have been dipped in gesso and covered in Finnabair's Glass and Fine Glitter for Prima Marketing. It's all been stationed on a piece that I created, too >> a couple of vintage dish setting pieces glued together! I'm feeling VERY proud of this bit, just so you know ;) so don't be harsh on me today!!

Just a final delicious close up :D EEK!
