May Arts & OWH

Today the Ribbonistas @ May Arts have joined together to celebrate Memorial Day with OWH. You can view all the cards here.

And here are some details about my own card:

The card base is white cardstock, with a cut piece of Authentique paper on top. I've layered a paper doily, 2 May Arts Ribbons, UmWowStudio Star Confetti and a My Mind's Eye epoxy brad for the focal point of the card.

There's a simple "Thank you" sentiment at the bottom from Viva Las VegaStamps!

And here you can see a bit better the dimension of this card. Sometimes it's hard for me to keep dimension at a minimum, but the ribbon really helped make this card feel full without being too bulky to still fit the OWH guidelines.

Stop by and see what everyone else has done!

Celebrate {A Card}

Today over on the UmWowStudio blog we're hopping between my uber talented Creative Team and the Design Team over @ Authentique.. I created this card:

The card base is Authentique's Tradition collection (As well as the celebrate strip.) It's layered with ouchless cardboard which has been hole punched, and both are distressed with a Prima Distress tool and Black Prima Chalk Edger. Then... I piled on the goodness! Tim Holtz Tissue tape, a vintage measuring tape, an UmWowStudio Chipboard Squirrel.

The Squirrel was stamped with a Writing Background Stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps! in Archival ink and distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Then came a nice thick May Arts Twisted Burlap Twine in Ivory (stapled down,) cheesecloth, Junkyard Findings and tons of flowers in turquoise, gray and white by Prima adorned with White Leaves from May Arts Ribbon.

And here you can see a sneak peek of my new Snowflake Confetti chip coming to UmWowStudio soon!! (Release scheduled for Friday!) And you can see most things got a nice heavy dose of GESSO!
