Xmas Cards RIBBONISTA Style

hi hi hi!!
(Looking for the Paper Haus hop?? click here!)

Welcome to my stop on the May Art's RIBBONISTA Christmas Card Hop!!!

As a GIVEAWAY today just COMMENT on the blogs and one winner will get THREE SPOOLS o' RIBBON from the Christmas Section!

On the hop today:
And for my card I've worked on a Winter Door greeting!!

The card base is straight up Canson watercolor paper. The Door is a pair of chipboard pieces from UmWowStudio (Vintage Door w/ Keyhole). It's been covered in gesso, heated with a heat gun and distressed with a SUPER old Walnut Stain distress pad.

The wreath is made of May Arts White Leaves (BY series), Prima Flowers, cheesecloth, miniature pinecones and miniature jingle bells. To keep the wreath secured I stapled it together in a couple places, which proved for great adhesive spots!

Here you can see the beautiful depth created with all the texture. Be sure to visit the beautiful cards by other Ribbonistas, and make your way back to May Arts!

  4. I used the door on a card that I submitted for a contest at the local scrapbook store. I left it the wood color and just colored the lock gold. Your door is beautiful with the pretty white and blue wreath hanging from it. I'm going to have to get more doors. thanks for the idea.
