Dreamer Tag Duo

Hiya folks <3 <3

I am so super honored & thankful to be in the position of my life where I get to design paper collections for Tusia and her amazing company 7 Dots Studio. I also get to wear the Ambassador badge as someone who represents the company, teaches with the products and just really really really really really LOVES 7DS. I mean.. how can I not? I design some of the collections!

Well today I've worked up a special little Tag Duo specifically for 7DS using my new Fortune Teller collection and other favorite supplies ♥

So.. Stinking... AWESOME! Every time I do a new piece of art whether it's paper based, fabric based, canvas based.. whatEVER.. I always love it even more than the last piece I did. Which is great.. I don't know if it means I'm finding my style (I think I already have... maybe?) or I'm getting more confident.. I don't know. I just know I'm loving it. I don't think I'll ever tire of creating. in ANY form.

Here's the 22 minute how-to video:

Junk Journal Workshop {READY!!!!}

Ok ok ok ok OK >> So it has taken me a lot longer to get this baby under way than I had originally thought it would. But I say.. anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT. And anything AWESOME is worth waiting for!

SO I have finished up the last little tidbits for the Digital / Online JUNK JOURNAL WORKSHOP!

The book itself is PERFECTO for a mini album, to store ephemera, to use as a memory saving book, to sketch in, around, alter, or art journal on. The possibilities are endless. ♥

The Workshop has over 90 minutes of instruction (in five separate videos) including creating the base, sewing on the cover and an inside pocket,  adding a closure or tie, creating signatures out of your favorite bits n pieces, how to make a folder insert and more. Included is a PDF with written details that accompany the recorded details via video. Lifetime access.

There's an optional $15 kit with /most/ of the supplies needed available in limited supply as well! Included are vintage ephemera book pages, music sheets, tags, doilies, the fabric needed to complete the book, the cardboard base, tickets, bingo cards, playing cards, envelopes, paint swatches and much more.

I'm very excited to share this little bundle of joy with you. Some of the kind words that have been said about the class so far :

“The great DeeDee Catron strikes again! What a wonderful junk journal class and great ladies today. Thank you DeeDee!”
DeeDee keeps a class engaged and entertaining. She’s sensitive to one on one needs when necessary and gives others the room they may need to experiment. LOVE taking instructions from DeeDee!!!!
“This was an awesome class and had lots of fun creating the junk journal. Lots of great ideas presented!”

All You Need Is Love {Hearts Challenge @ 7DS}

There's a new challenge @ 7 Dots Studio all about HEARTS. And you should really stop by to see all the wonderful projects by the talented design team. One of my favorite things about designing paper for 7 Dots Studio is seeing all that talent USE the paper :)

To inspire you I've altered a paper mache heart I picked up from Joann. It was so cute in the $1 bin, and I thought it was perfect for the season of love :)

The base has been dry brushed with Gesso and a pink color of Acrylic paint. I heat set the paints then stamped the invoice piece from Thoughts Keeper's Acrylic stamps in archival ink. It helped create a nice grounded background for layering on.

Then I layered up and embellished some pink, gray and cream pretties including a Destination Unknown Tag, a Soulmates Sticker Element and a sticker from the Soulmates words from 7 Dots Studio. I also used a diecut heart from an old atlas cut by Sizzix / Tim Holtz mover n shaper die, some May Arts Ribbons, a pink button and a beautiful Prima Marketing flower.

>> All you need is love ♥
