I have been.. eating, drinking, SLEEPING Donna Downey lately.
And .. thinking a lot about my artistry, my craft, really just my skills in general. I've been thinking about my past, fine arts, and how I miss them A LOT.
Mixed media has really been such a great EXPLOSION into the crafting industry, because it's allowing artists to really dabble.
Also .. I enjoy the One Little Word movement, because it gives me something to strive for.
This year my OLW is FREEDOM.
I want a r t i s t i c f r e e d o m like none other. It's time. I've been working with mass production for some time, papers and stamps, chipboard and embellishments. Then I DABBLED in Mixed Media mixing the two; mass production and fine arts. Well 2015 is the year I really hone my skills and combine everything I love into a r t b y m e.
And I'm stoked :)
So why did I mention Donna Downey at the beginning? well one because she is SO AWESOME. and SO INSPIRING. But also because as part of my journey this year I've signed up for her Inspiration Wednesday online class!
Anyways.. today I want to share with you my Week One finished page
UmWowStudio and a basic drafting stencil.
Freedom comes from the typerwriter style font I put on Plate 1430 for Viva Las VegaStamps!
And this little diddy of a face is a clay piece that I pick from this amazing artist on Etsy >> Mary Vogel Lozinak. Just good stuff.
Anyways you can see in my pages -- I'm really reaching for Artistic Freedom and Expression in 2015. I'm very excited to move forward. ♥♥ Here's to a great year!
