Soft Tag Duo {UWS | SKW Swap}

As the owner of UmWowStudio I often find myself GIDDY about seeing new people use UmWowStudio products. This week the UWS Creative Team has swapped goods with the Susan K. Weckesser team... so our products have been used by a ton of new people.. and it's been awesome!

Today I'm sharing a tag duo I created using Susan K. Weckesser's paper and stencils plus goods from UmWowStudio :)

I started with a sheet of Susan's paper and cut two tags from it using Tim Holtz's #8 tag die. I combined two stencils; the Damask Mask from UmWowStudio, and Susan's to create the background with nice thick Blick gesso. The tags were mounted to some watercolor paper and then trimmed down.

The bottom left tag is made of some layered May Arts Leaves ribbon, Prima flowers and pebbles, a wooden button, May Arts Burlap Twine, and a chipboard Hare from UmWowStudio. You can really see the cool x pattern that came from Susan's stencil in this photo.

Here's another look at that Prima flower.. it's actually two flowers torn apart and glued together to create the layered look in the colors. The top of the tag is finished with May Arts Silk ribbon, thread and a vintage shell button.

The top of the left tag has May Arts silk ribbon and a piece from the UmWowStudio From The Heart flair set.

And the bottom is finished with more layered flowers, May Arts Leaves ribbon and the UmWowStudio thistles finished in gesso.

It's a very light set of tags, not my /normal/ style, but I love them! They're so bright and sunny. Don't forget to hop through the week, leave comments, visit the UmWowStudio blog, the Susan K. Weckesser blog, and all those participating today to enter to win!

  6. Your tags are beautiful! I need to get that damask mask! By the way, I've been seeing your stunning work here and there around the internet for quite some time, but just realized today that you're here in Vegas! I moved here about a year and a half ago, and before that, I lived in Wyoming (Riverton)... I noticed you did, too! Not too many people can say they lived in Wyoming LOL. I'm from Chicago, though. Anyhow, hi! :)
