my rainbow soul {Art Journal Page}

Lots of stuff happening! Lots of blog posts coming up and filing through.

Right now I'd like to share this Art Journal page I worked up :)

There's a brand new challenge (mine!) over on scrapki-wyzwaniowo for "Negative Spaces"

I've been wanting to do this for quite some time.. work a negative space into my piece. A cut out per say. And I wanted to work a bit in my art journal some more. My other pages have tended to be paper heavy lately, so I went with color this time :). Here's my page:

The base is just plain mixed media paper from the journal. I've also used Viva Las VegaStamps! (Waybill/Invoice Background) and the Nature Walk stamps, black gesso, 7 Dots Studio alphas from Domestic Goddess, Lyra watercolor crayons, black thread, and the mini bird and bird cage movers and shapers Sizzix die.

This also happens to be the journal page we'll be basing our Monthly Art Journal class on. Please join us tomorrow @ The Crafting Place where we'll be discussing using every day objects to create repeating patterns as well as this color application.

I've always been under the impression that my brain is a sea full of color. I adore each and every color under and over the sun.
